Die Fresenius Medical Care AG erhielt eine Auszeichnung auf Platz 1 für den besten Jahresbericht 2006 unter allen 200 wichtigsten europäischen Unternehmen.
Fresenius Medical Care recognized for the best annual report among the Dax 30 companies
Fresenius Medical Care’s 2006 annual report took top honors among the Dax 30 companies in a yearly competition held by the German ”manager magazin”. For the 13th time, the business journal rated the annual reports of the 200 most important publicly traded European companies according to content, language and design as well as the efficiency of financial reporting. The judges praised the language and design of Fresenius Medical Care’s annual report as well as the risk and outlook reports. Overall, the world’s leading dialysis Company received 81.46 points out of a possible 100, moving to the pole position after placing eighth last year.
“We are very pleased to receive this distinguished award. The annual report is a vital tool to communicate to our shareholders and other stakeholders. The annual report highlights the accomplishments of our employees and in a comprehensive and transparent way informs all stakeholders about the growth dynamics of our Company. I am particularly proud of the fact that preparing the annual report is an internal Investor Relations project, and many employees around the world contribute to the content,” said Dr. Ben Lipps, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Management Board of Fresenius Medical Care.
The content and visual design concept of the 2006 annual report is not limited to only presenting services, products and earnings. The annual report also clearly demonstrates to readers how innovative medical devices and therapies that include the best-possible care help people with chronic kidney failure enjoy a high quality of life. Using the common headline “In Touch with Life,” articles in the report illuminate the work of a researcher, a plant manager and a Fresenius Medical Care nurse as well as the day-to-day life of two dialysis patients in Poland and the United States.

In June 2007, Fresenius Medical Care was also recognized by the German business magazine “Capital” and the German Society of Investment Professionals (Deutschen Vereinigung für Finanzanalyse und Asset Management or DVFA) for having the best investor relations activities among the Dax companies.
